Building Safety Legislation

In recent years there have been major changes to Building Safety legislation, which has had a major impact both strategically and operationally on social landlords. The Building Safety Act was granted Royal Assent on 28 April 2022. The Act overhauled existing regulations, creating lasting change and making clear how residential buildings should be constructed, maintained and made safe. In addition, The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 introduced new duties under the Fire Safety Order for building owners and managers (responsible persons).

We have supported social housing landlords achieve and maintain assurance across many compliance areas, including:

  • Strategic Building Safety
  • Procurement and Project Management of Building Safety remedial works
  • Compartmentation Surveys
  • Fire Door Audits

Our team of accredited experts are able to critically analyse current information and set out a clear strategic path to compliance, providing assurance and peace of mind.
