Process

We agreed the survey scope and report content with the Client before carrying out any sitework. Our dedicated Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) contacted residents to provide details of the surveys and answer any questions or concerns they might have, as well as arranging an appointment at a convenient date and time. The damp and structural surveys were completed by Chartered Building Surveyors (RICS) and the airtightness tests were carried out in accordance with The ATTMA (part of the Building Compliance Testers Association: BCTA). The output reports provided First Choice Homes Oldham with vital information to prioritise remedial and improvement works.

Result

The Client knew exactly what information would be provided as an output and had the opportunity to have an input to ensure it was fit for purpose and satisfied their requirements. Access rates were maximised, and complaints were minimised by developing a clear resident communication plan as part of the project mobilisation. We were able to support the Client with our extensive compliance and asset management knowledge by rationalising the information collected and developing a bespoke strategy to overcome challenges around timescales, budget and capacity.
