First Choice Homes Oldham are a Housing Association based in Greater Manchester who own and manage circa 11,500 properties, providing homes to roughly 10% of the local population. We were appointed to carry out damp surveys, structural surveys and airtightness testing within tight timescales to support their Asset Management team.
Process
We agreed the survey scope and report content with the Client before carrying out any sitework. Our dedicated Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) contacted residents to provide details of the surveys and answer any questions or concerns they might have, as well as arranging an appointment at a convenient date and time. The damp and structural surveys were completed by Chartered Building Surveyors (RICS) and the airtightness tests were carried out in accordance with The ATTMA (part of the Building Compliance Testers Association: BCTA). The output reports provided First Choice Homes Oldham with vital information to prioritise remedial and improvement works.
